BETH MICHALAK, LMHC
My name is Beth Michalak, and I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. I have a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation from the University of South Florida as well as a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Canisius College. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a scientifically proven approach to resolve trauma more rapidly than traditional treatment.
As a counselor, I strongly value the therapeutic relationship and I take a compassionate and collaborative approach to counseling. I strive to create a safe and inclusive environment where myself and my clients work together to reach their goals. In my practice I use a strengths-based approach to counseling that draws from evidence-based interventions. My treatment preferences are CBT/DBT, Person-Centered, Humanistic, DBT, and solution-focused therapy. I utilize these modalities to empower individuals to develop the skills they need for dealing with difficult life challenges.
