Michelle Khalife, RLCSW
Registered Licensed Clinical
Social Work Intern
Hi, my name is Michelle Khalife, and I am a Registered Licensed Clinical Social Work Intern (RLCSW) in the state of Florida. My primary goal as a therapist is to provide a comfortable, safe, and non-judgmental space for individuals from all backgrounds to process life experiences and work towards their unique goals. I believe that it’s important to create a space that is conducive to insight and awareness, while offering tools and strategies to support growth and change.
I have a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Portland State University. In addition to my training as a Clinical Social Worker, I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher (200 hr) through Yoga Alliance. In my career I have worked with clients of all ages and stages of life, and have cultivated a specific focus in working with teens and young adults. For the past 5 years, I have worked in independent schools counseling, educating and empowering adolescents. I believe that access to encouraging, warm, and attuned therapists will help guide our youth as they develop into well-adjusted young adults.
My therapeutic approach includes implementing Strengths-Based, Trauma Informed, Person-Centered, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) practices. I also have training in mindfulness-based practices designed to help clients develop skills such as self-awareness and self-compassion.
