ALISON SAFF SAGER, Psy.D.
Hi, I'm Dr. Ali Sager. I am a licensed clinical psychologist who is extremely committed to my clients and strongly believes in the importance and value of the therapeutic relationship. I use a relaxed, skilled, and collaborative style to empower clients to achieve their goals and improve their lives. My approach is warm, passionate, and supportive, acknowledging each client and their own unique experiences.
I was born and raised in Tampa. I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology in Tampa. I completed my APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at the University of South Florida Counseling Center with additional training at Tampa General Hospital’s chronic pain management program. I have experience working with children, adolescents, college students, and adults in outpatient clinics, schools, college counseling centers, community mental health programs, integrative medical practices, and hospital settings.
I enjoy individual, couples, family, and group therapy. I am uniquely trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a scientifically proven approach to resolve trauma more rapidly than traditional treatment. I am also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which integrates as a unique empirically based psychological intervention that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies, together with commitment and behavior change strategies, to increase psychological flexibility.
